The awards

Award 01

Unluckiest Loss

Sam
110.3 points, 7-4 against the field

The fifth-best score of the week, and a 2.8-point loss. DK Metcalf scored 20.3 on the bench while A.J. Brown started at flex and scored 5.7, a gap of 14.6, which is the game five times over. The best lineup available was 128.9. The defending champion's win streak ends at two, and the bench has the receipt.

Award 02

Luckiest Win

Benji
89.8 points, 2-9 against the field

The tenth-best score of the week won by 49.8, because the twelfth-best score was across the table. Josh Allen, the highest-projected player in the league at 25.1, scored 18.3. Emeka Egbuka scored 17.8 on the bench behind Denzel Boston's 2.5. None of it mattered. 5-1, second seed.

Award 03

Highest Score

Joe
155.4 points, 11-0 against the field

Projected 119.4, scored 155.4. Tre Tucker scored 26.7 on a 10.3 projection, the biggest overperformance of the week, and Carnell Tate 19 on 10.9. The one miss: Tyler Shough scored 27 on the bench behind Matthew Stafford's 16.9. It cost nothing, which is how this season has gone for Joe.

Award 04

Player of the Week

Mario
Christian McCaffrey, 30.7

Two rushing touchdowns on Monday night and 9.5 over his projection. The preview said the game of the week would go to whoever fixed their lineup first: Mario benched Justin Jefferson and Chase Brown, both on bye, started Luther Burden III for 17.5 and Alvin Kamara for 14.9, and won by 41.3. 10-1 against the field, and up three seeds to eighth.

Award 05

Perfect, Technically

Uriel
100% of the best lineup

The only perfect lineup in the league, and it scored 99, 5-6 against the field. Bijan Robinson was the biggest bust of the week, 7.3 on a 23 projection. The commissioner beat his own autodraft bot by 3.1, and the bot started Jake Bates on a bye week and sat DeVonta Smith's 20.5 behind Drake London's 10.2. That one swap alone would have beaten him. He would like it noted that he won. It is noted.

Award 06

Won Anyway

Yael
35 points on the bench

Germie Bernard scored 25.7 on the bench while Ladd McConkey started and scored 2.7. The Chiefs D/ST scored 15 on the bench while the Rams D/ST started and scored 3. A 76.4% lineup, the second-worst of the week, and a 2.8-point win. Last week Potatoe set a perfect lineup and lost. The universe is not fair, but this week it was at least balanced.

Award 07

Nail Biter

Misa
won by 2.3

Patrick Mahomes scored 10.5 and Puka Nacua 14 on a 22.8 projection, and Stefon Diggs scored 16.4 on the bench behind Josh Downs's 8.7. Isaiah Likely's 21.9 and James Cook III's 24.3 carried it. Up a seed to third, two points from being the rookie's first win.

Award 08

Lowest Score

Toño
40 points, 0-11 against the field

Three starters scored 0: DJ Moore, Tyler Warren and Efton Chism III. Bhayshul Tuten scored 24.7 on the bench, and Cameron Dicker's 6 sat behind Brandon Aubrey's 1. The best lineup available was 71.6, which still loses by 18.2. Two rings, and a Sunday that is best left to the ledger.

Award 09

Favored, Briefly

Jordi
75.7 points, 1-10 against the field

The 1.0-point favorite in the game of the week lost by 41.3. Mark Andrews scored 1.4 at tight end, and Xavier Worthy's 14.3 sat on the bench behind Garrett Wilson's 8.4. The lineup rated 92.8%, which is a decent decision on a bad roster day: the best available was 81.6.

The only unbeaten team

SIX AND OH

For five weeks the knock on Joe was the schedule: undefeated, but below .500 against the field. This week he scored the most points in the league against every one of the eleven other lineups, and the argument got noticeably harder to make.

6-0the only unbeaten record in the league
155.4the high score of the week, by 38.4
11-0against the field this week
36-30against the field this season, now above .500

Joe is now first in the power rankings as well as the first seed, now by a full game over Benji at 5-1. Eight weeks left for somebody to find the answer.
